Donetsk, May 14 – DAN. The DPR Head Denis Pushilin has announced joint drills of the DPR Emergencies, State Security, Healthcare, Transport, and Interior Ministries.
"Taking facts and intelligence data into consideration, I believe it is reasonable to carry out on May 17-22 another check of the ministries readiness to act in critical situations in case of possible threats coming from Ukraine," he said.
Pushilin described current Ukrainian politics as chaotic and unstable, saying that its armed forces regularly target civilian infrastructure. "These facts testify to the fact that Ukrainian army command are unwilling to observe the ceasefire, moreover, they demonstrate extreme cynicism by their deliberate attacks on critical infrastructure."
Systematic control over state agencies readiness to respond to critical situations is a guarantee of safety and durable defense, he said.
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27. *ot
