Donetsk, Oct 18 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic leadership uses budget revenue to resolve the most important social issue, namely increase wages in the public sector, People’s Council (parliament) deputy from the Donetsk Republic faction Vladimir Bidyovka told the Donetsk News Agency.
“The Republic is reconfiguring its fiscal system; production has been increasing, new destinations have been found for DPR products and the economy’s manufacturing sector is expanding,” Bidyovka said. “Consequently, budget revenue has been increasing. It was used to raise wages in the public sector, by the acting DPR Head’s decision."
On October 16, acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin announced a 10-percent payrise for public sector workers starting November 1. The decision followed a Tax and Revenue Ministry reshuffle. Plans are in place to restructure the Ministry. The DPR is also preparing a comprehensive tax reform.*jk
