Donetsk, Jul 28 - DAN. The republican mobile network operator Phoenix provided access to wireless communications services for residents of the frontline Vasilyevka village outside Yasinovataya, the Donetsk People’s Republic Communications Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.

“We understand how important the mobile network operation is to citizens who live in immediate proximity to the contact line,” the report said. “Phoenix mobile operator quality services are now available to all residents of the frontline village.”

The company carried out the works to launch wireless communications in the settlement after local residents’ request. Earlier, Vasilyevka was practically outside the coverage zone, the DPR Communications Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency.

Vasilyevka is located near the Yasinovataya town. It accommodates the first level pumping station of the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct which repeatedly came under Kiev forces fire during the conflict.

Phoenix is the first DPR mobile operator covering the whole territory of the Republic. It was test-launched in June 2015 and began full-fledged operation in February 2016. In 2018, Phoenix launched 3G and 4G networks.*jk*pp
