Donetsk, Feb 15 - DAN. The number of customers of DPR’s mobile operator Phoenix has increased to nearly one million, the DPR Communications Ministry press service told Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“As of today, DPR’s mobile operator Phoenix has 989,600 customers,” a press service representative said.
Vodafone (MTS Ukraine) signal disappeared in the Republic on 11 January 2018. As the alternative mobile network collapsed, DPR residents flocked to Phoenix offices across the republic to buy the domestic operator's phone plans.
Phoenix, DPR’s first wireless service provider, was test-launched on 16 June 2015. It began full-fledged operation in February 2016.*jk
