Donetsk, Aug 31 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic mobile operator Phoenix keeps installing its communication equipment in the Kherson region, the DPR Ministry of Communications said.

“As of August 31, more than 70 base stations have been connected to the network to provide both voice calls and internet services. In the near term, additional 4G base stations are expected to be launched,” the report reads.

As of early August, almost 600 Russian network base stations had been installed in the region. Phoenix launched its services in mid-August.

Russian forces established control over the Kherson region in mid-March, the local authorities were formed by late April. They expressed willingness to join Russia. A Russian mobile operator launched its services in the region in May.*ot
