Donetsk, Aug 19 — DAN. Over 160,000 children will go to schools this fall in the DPR, the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin announced today.

“The academic year in the Republic will begin on September 1 for more than 160,000 schoolchildren. 584 schools with 34,000 teachers will start the educational process, ” the leader of the state wrote on his Telegram channel.

Pushilin added that educational institutions all over the country are being renovated, supplied with computer classes, textbooks and fiction books, sports equipment. Teachers undergo re-training according to Russian educational standards.

“Our common goal is healthy, educated, happy, successful children, patriots of their Motherland. I am sure that by joining our efforts, we will cope with this task, ” he said.

Earlier in the day Pushilin inspected the repairs in a Mariupol school, where about 1,000 children will study. All load-bearing structures, roofing, and utilities have been restored in the facility. Finishing work is underway, sports and playgrounds are being equipped, the pool is being repaired. The team of teachers is almost fully staffed.
