Donetsk, Jan 29 – DAN. Over 120 base stations of Lifecell mobile carrier, non-operational since February 2017, have been connected to the Phoenix network to improve its service, said the company’s director Andrey Rudnichenko.
"As of today, we have reconnected 127 base stations from the Lifecell to Phoenix network to improve the latter's performance."
Overall, there are 450 base stations, 200 will be needed to stabilize the Phoenix operation.
Lifecell wrapped up services on 22 February 2017. On January 11, the DPR was cut off from the last Ukrainian mobile carrier MTS-Ukraine (Vodafone) services after an emergency disconnection of communication channel outside Elenovka, leaving the Phoenix operator the only provider of mobile call service. Sales of DPR Phoenix mobile operator starter kits grew immediately. It added 300,000 customers after MTS Ukraine left the territory. *ot
