Donetsk, Dec 22 — DAN. Moscow has delivered about 15,000 New Year gifts for children to Donetsk, said the regional center of the “WeAreTogether” all-Russia mutual assistance campaign.
“Fifteen thousand sweet boxes for DPR children have arrived from Moscow to Donetsk, at the initiative of Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin, ” the regional center said, adding that the gifts were brought for the second time as part of the “Moscow Helps” action.
Moscow authorities send relief supplies to the DPR on a permanent basis to support the local population including low-income groups. #WeAreTogether” activists will hand over part of the New Year gifts to volunteer organizations and give the rest to preschoolers, large families and children of servicemen.
“WeAreTogether is an all-Russian project of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh) to help people in crisis. Volunteers provide targeted support and legal consultations to families of mobilized servicemen and assemble humanitarian aid kits and parcels. The Donetsk-based center, launched on May 5, 2022 was initially focused on coordination of humanitarian missions.*jk
