Donetsk, Jan 6 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic residents made 116,000 money transfers through “Donbass Post” last year, the state unitary enterprise press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.
“In 2022, it accepted more than 116,000 money orders worth over 510 million rubles, a 20 percent increase year-on-year, ” the press service said.
The postal money transfer service has been available since 2017. Money can be wired to designated recipient or between legal entities, customers are also offered transfers payable to bearer or cash on delivery transfers. These transactions are made in the Donetsk People’s Republic and with the Lugansk People’s Republic.
Donbass Post was established in October 2014. It handles mail, cargo delivery, including from Russia, payment of pensions, welfare benefits and utility services bills, money transfers etc.*jk
