Donetsk, Dec 26 — DAN. Donbass Post has released a new vignette dedicated to the liberation of Maryinka, the press service of the state-owned company reported on Tuesday.
The vignette which is part of the Donbass liberation series is executed in heraldic style. The center of the shield shows a wheat head as a symbol of rich land while the swallow in the sky symbolizes revival and renewal.
In the three-color vignette, blue is the drive for victory and justice, white is for purity and silver is for nobleness.
The Donbass liberation series includes issues dedicated to Mariupol, Volnovakha, Mangush, Svetlodarsk, Volodarskoye, Soledar and Bakhmut (Artyomovsk).
On December 25, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to President Vladimir Putin that the town of Maryinka west of Donetsk was under full control of Russian armed forces. The president said that the liberation of Maryinka would push the enemy from Donetsk and give Russian troops more room for maneuver on this axis.*jk
