Donetsk, Dec 6 — DAN. More than 2,600 housing certificates have been issued to Donetsk People’s Republic residents who lost their homes during hostilities, DPR Deputy Prime Minister Larisa Tolstykinsa said on Wednesday. 

“The authorities continue to pay compensations for lost or damaged homes and essential property, ” Tolstykina said adding that as of today, more than 31,000 people had received home loss payments.  Also, 2,600 certificates for new housing have been issued to residents.

 People can request compensations anytime at any of the 46 offices where such applications can be submitted. The Labor and Social Policy Ministry launched 38 hotlines, she said.

In July 2022, the DPR announced plans to pay home loss compensations. The money is provided for buying or building new homes, in the amount of 35,000 rubles per square meter of living space.  Home loss payments are an expenditure item in the DPR’s budget 2023.*jk
