Donetsk, Apr 6 - DAN. Experts of relevant ministries and agencies of the DPR have developed projects of new multi-storey buildings in Mariupol and Volnovakha, Ruslan Teryaev, head of the Construction Industry Development Department of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services, said following a meeting at the Ministry of Construction.

“A meeting of representatives of various relevant and municipal departments has been held regarding the possibility of building new houses in the liberated territories. So far, we are talking only about Volnovakha and Mariupol," Teryaev said.

 “During the discussion, a number of proposals for further work were recorded.”

At the meeting, the heads of the Design Institute, and water, heat and gas supplying enterprises, and land management considered possible sites for the construction, discussed issues of connecting new buildings to communications.

“In the near future, all participants will submit their proposals on options for providing communications to ensure an uninterrupted construction process,” Teryaev said.

Earlier, DPR Head Denis Pushilin announced his intention to build a new residential area in the liberated Volnovakha, where 85% of the housing was destroyed by shelling. Fighting continues in Mariupol, and the destruction there is also significant. The Ministry of Construction has already begun assessing the buildings and structures of the seaside city for their restoration. *ot
