Donetsk, Jul 28 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Radio and Television Broadcasting Centre has launched television and radiobroadcasting in Mariupol in the test mode, the DPR Communications Ministry press service said on Thursday.

“DPR RTPTs state unitary enterprise specialists have test-launched broadcasting in Mariupol, ” the press service said.

City residents can watch Russian TV (First Channel, Russia 1 Crimea, Match! Channel 5, Russian Culture, Russia 24 Crimea, NTV, Karusel etc) as well as DPR and LPR channels. The available radio broadcasting companies are Radio Russia Crimea, Mayak, Vesti FM. They operate at the following radio frequencies: Mayak at 88.0 MHz, Radio Russia at 90.4 MHz and Vesti FM at 106.9 MHz.

Mariupol is the largest city on the Sea of Azov coast, a key Donbass metallurgy center and seaport. Fighting for the city continued from February 25 to April 21 when the Ukrainian nationalists were fully blocked in the industrial zone of the Azovstal works.*jk
