Donetsk, Sep 21 — DAN. Specialists of the Avtodor state-owned road construction company are completing the works on four bridges in Mariupol that were built from scratch, the company’s press service reported on Thursday.
“The average technical readiness of the facilities is 90 percent, ” the press service said. “Builders had torn down the old bridges ruined by Ukrainian artillery fire and installed new pillars and superstructures.”
The bridge over the Kalmius river was commissioned on September 1. Asphalting works are underway on the bridge over the railway which will have a tram line, Avtodor said adding that it is currently waterproofing and reinforcing three other facilities.
Earlier reports said that Mariupol authorities were distributing some 200 apartments to residents who had lost their homes during hostilities. The construction of two five-section houses comprising 180 apartments will be completed later this year. The total area of each house exceeds 16,000 square meters.*jk
