Donetsk, Nov 7 — DAN. More than 36,000 people from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republic and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions have taken part in projects of Russia’s “Knowledge” Society, the press service of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh) told the Donetsk News Agency.

“The Society opened regional branches in all the new territories and organized more than 350 events involving some 36,000 people, ” the press service said.

The “Knowledge” Society is a public non-profit educational organization which implements projects for young people across Russia. It arranges lectures by distinguished persons from the spheres of culture, arts and research, and holds science battles, contests and quizzes.   Its branch in the Donetsk People’s Republic has operated since September 2022.

Reports in early October said that the “Knowledge” Society had organized more than 200 events in the DPR.*jk
