Donetsk, Nov 21 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic performers will tour 12 Russian towns as part of the Orchestra of the Unconquered project which received the support of the presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, said the regional Culture Ministry.
“The grant is worth 16 million rubles, ” the Ministry’s press service told the Donetsk News Agency. “The DPR is among the top ten Russian regions by the number of projects selected by the Foundation.”
The tour will end in Mariupol on April 23 which marks the birthdate of outstanding composer Sergei Prokofiev, a native of Donbass.
The Donetsk News Agency earlier reported that three DPR projects had won more than 26 million rubles worth of grants. The Orchestra of the Unconquered project received 15,942,150 rubles.*jk
