Donetsk, Oct 2 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic is in the group of ten Russian regions by the approved sum of grants from the Presidential Fund of Cultural Initiatives, the DPR Culture Ministry said.
“The participation in grant contests is an excellent opportunity for DPR cultural institutions to get extra funding for creativity projects, ” said DPR Acting Culture Minister Mikhail Zheltyakov.
The top recipients are Moscow, St Petersburg, Kamchatka Territory, the Moscow, Chelyabinsk and Irkutsk regions, the Donetsk People’s Republic, Samara Region, Stavropol Territory and Crimea. In 2024, 303 initiatives from 73 Russian regions will receive state funding.
Earlier reports said that the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives had allocated more than 500 million rubles to renew and repair DPR cultural facilities.*jk
