Donetsk, Nov 21 — DAN. Popular French filmmaker Luc Besson will be a guest at the World Youth Festival in Sochi, WYF program director Sergei Pershin said on Tuesday which marked 100 days before festival start.
“Cult film director Luc Besson has confirmed his participation, ” Pershin said adding that he expected more celebrities.
The event will bring together some 3,000 actors and 1,500 speakers, he said.
Luc Besson has gained fame for his cult films such as the Fifth Element, Leon, Taxi, Nikita etc. The festival will gather more than 20,000 people from 180 countries in the Sirius federal territory in the first half of March. It aims to build ties between young people from the across the world, show Russia’s openness and promote its values and culture.*jk
