Donetsk, Feb 15 - DAN. The Ukrainian representative at the Contact Group humanitarian subgroup talks in Minsk on 14 February refused to discuss new prisoner exchange and walked out of the meeting, DPR representative in the humanitarian subgroup, the Republic’s ombudswoman Darya Morozova said on Thursday.
“At the Minsk talks on 14 February, Ukrainian side refused to discuss the second stage of upcoming prisoner exchange as well as other agenda items and walked out of the humanitarian subgroup meeting in unwarranted demarche,” Morozova said.
She noted that the negotiations continued without Kiev’s representative.
According to Morozova, DPR brought forward a number of demands amid preparations for new prisoner exchange.
The Republic insists on the release of the Russian citizens who earlier were taken off the POW list and the return of documents to the persons released from captivity in late January 2017. Also, DPR expects Ukraine to respond to the enquiry concerning progress in legal clearance of former detainees.
