Donetsk, Dec 22 – DAN. Ukraine's prisoners-of-war exchange lists passed to the Republic’s representatives at 21 December Minsk talks contained 50 names of DPR supporters who have long been set free, DPR ombudswoman Darya Morozova said on Thursday.
“Ukraine passed to us a list of 220 people. A cursory review of the list revealed that it contained the names of those… whom they wish to hand over to us in an act of goodwill, as well as some 50 people who have long been set free,” Morozova said.
She said the list might have been composed incompetently and in haste.
Articles 5 and 6 of the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements provide for release and exchange of all hostages and unlawfully detained persons, based on the principle “all for all,” and pardon and amnesty by enacting the law prohibiting the prosecution and punishment of persons in connection with Donbass events. *jk
