Donetsk, Jun 8 — DAN. More than 10,000 customers in the Donetsk People’s Republic have been left without electricity after Kiev artillery strikes on Thursday morning, the Republic’s Coal and Energy Ministry press service said.
At 4:35, 14 electrical substations went offline cutting power to 2,000 customers in the Kuibyshevsky district of the DPR capital. At 8:31, repair teams restored electricity to 1,950 customers in the affected city district.
At 5:30, power outages hit 41 electrical substations, three schools, two kindergartens, one hospital, and 5,301 customers in the town of Gorlovka. Engineers will launch repairs as soon as the situation permits, the Ministry said.
As of 7:00, power outages affected 106 electrical substations and 10,613 residential customers in the DPR.*jk
