Donetsk, Jan 2 – DAN. International humanitarian organizations that have been granted accreditation in DPR delivered over 75 thousand tons of aid in 2016, said DPR People's Council chairman Denis Pushilin.
"The volume of humanitarian aid delivered in 2016 is more than 75 thousand tons. It is not the final figure as some organizations are still to file reports."
The Republican committee for accreditation granted permits for humanitarian activity to nine organizations overall, and to seven in 2016. As of the end of 2016 only four of them continued their work in DPR: the ICRC, the Donbass Development Center, AICM, Spravedlivaya Pomoshch (Fair Aid) represented by the late Elizaveta Glinka.
The interministerial committee for accreditation of international humanitarian organizations was established on June 29th 2015 by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko's decree. *ot
