Donetsk, Mar 5 – DAN. Public committee for DPR frontline areas has assisted a thousand families living in proximity to the contact line, said the head of the group, DPR MP Ekaterina Martyanova.

"Since the day the committee was launched, a thousand families from frontline areas have received aid. In February alone, 12 tons of humanitarian cargo were delivered to townships on the contact line."

Humanitarian kits included food, medications, household chemicals, toys and coal. Employees of enterprises under external management, Martial Arts Academy of Donbass, the Ministry of Defense and Donbass Republic social movement participated in the delivery of aid.

"Having visited frontline areas we have seen people who are continuously suffering shelling perpetrated by Ukrainian forces, but they don't give up. That is why it is important to provide them with food and material aid, to help settle domestic matters. The most important thing is to show the Republic doesn't give up on people," Martyanova  said.

The Public committee for DPR frontline areas which suffered the major damage during Kiev's offensive against Donbass was established in December 2017 following the initiative of the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko. The group provides assistance to residents of frontline areas from consultations to help in delivering coal, food and medications. *ot
