Donetsk, Jun 7 — DAN. The Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU) is poised to sign its first international agreement as a Russian university, DonNTU rector Alexander Anopriyenko said.
“It’s our first agreement in the new conditions with a specialized college of a Iranian university, ” Anopriyenko told the Donetsk News Agency. “We received permission from the Ministry of Education and Science for concluding an international agreement for the first time.”
Iran has advanced very far in many fields of technology and research, so DonNTU is expecting fruitful cooperation with them, in the first place in the mining industry, he added.
The parties have already finalized the text of the document and are due to set the date for signing. DonNTU continues the efforts to establish cooperation with colleagues from Russian regions. In the recent months, it has signed cooperation agreements with Khanty-Mansi Museum of Oil and Gas and Yugra University, Kuban State University and Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology, the rector said.
