Donetsk, Dec 20 - DAN. The crossing point procedure has to be as comfortable as possible for Donetsk People’s Republic residents, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said in an annual address to the Republic’s parliament on Friday.
“We have to make all efforts to normalise the operation of dedicated services at the crossing points on the axes towards Russia and Ukraine-controlled DPR territory,” Pushilin said.
The DPR Head called for removing the barriers to comfortable border crossing by DPR residents. “The objective is not just to minimise the queues and stabilise the situation in a short period; people have to pass through quickly and comfortably,” he said.
The DPR currently operates seven crossing points: Marinovka, Uspenka and Novoazovskaya on the border with Russia and Gorlovka, Elenovka, Alexandrovka and Oktyabr on the contact line between the DPR and the territory controlled by Ukraine.*jk
