Donetsk, Sep 5 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities will establish a jubilee medal in honor of the first anniversary of the DPR’s accession to Russia, DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin said on Tuesday.
“The first anniversary of the Donetsk People’s Republic reunification with the Russian Federation is approaching, a very significant event for residents of the region, ” Pushilin wrote on Telegram. “Many of them made a lot of efforts towards Donbass’ returning home. A considerable number of our associates outside the Republic were bringing that date closer together with us.”
The medal will be designed and produced by Donetsk specialists. The design details are kept secret at this point, he said.
On September 30, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Khreson regions signed international agreement on the accession of the above regions to the Russian Federation. On October 2, Russia’s Constitutional Court announced that the documents conformed to the Fundamental Law.*jk
