Donetsk, Oct 3 — DAN. A Mosfilm cinema concern specialist will help create computer visualization for the interactive time tunnel of the Donetsk People’s Republic’s stand at the intentional exhibition-forum “Russia, ” DPR display coordinator Yelena Ostroukh said on Tuesday.
“In the time tunnel, the history of our region will be recreated in the 3D format, ” Ostroukh told the Donetsk News Agency. “The visitors will immerse themselves in events related to our region, explore its development since the 18th century and its coming home to Russia. The computer program for this location is developed by a specialist who worked for the Mosfilm cinema concern and drew cartoons.”
She said that a visitor’s entry in the tunnel would be marked by a flash of light similarly to mine shaft descent signal. Part of the makeshift rock free of the screens will be styled with coal bed varieties.
Earlier reports said that the DPR stand at the exhibition-forum “Russia” would be executed in the form of a seven-meter-high hill. The 15-meter long tunnel will be framed with high screens showing Donbass history from the 18th century to date. The total area of the DPR stand will exceed 100 square meters.
Meanwhile, the DPR launched the Pride Map project in the runup to the exhibition. A participant has to register on the project website, mark a place of significance such as a monument, school, street, hospital or cultural facility and attach a story of pride.
On March 29, President Vladimir Putin signed the decree on holding the international exhibition forum “Russia” to display the key achievements of the country in various branches of the economy and promote international cooperation. The exhibition will open on November 4 which is Unity Day in Russia, and last for more than five months until April 12 when the country marks Cosmonautics Day.
All regions of the country will present their stands at the exhibition. It will include business and cultural and entertainment programs, Days of Regions, fairs and culinary traditions festivals. First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko heads the Organizing Comittee.*jk
