Donetsk, Feb 21 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin extended his best wishes to trade union workers on the occasion of their professional holiday.

“We’ve done a lot to improve workers’ life in the recent time,” Pushilin said. “Employees on the state payroll, public officers, law-enforcement and utility services personnel got a big payrise.”

“Just a few days ago, we passed the law on minimum remuneration which provides for an increase in wages of thousands of workers at companies of all forms of ownership,” he said in an address posted on the head of state website.
The DPR Trade Union Federation can always rely on the Republic’s leadership for help, Pushilin said.

“Defending workers’ interests is a honourable and noble duty. You stand up for hundreds of thousands of DPR workers; as for how well their socio-economic rights will be protected, much depends on you. I know that you encounter problems in your work; they certainly have to be resolved, and this has to be done in a joint effort,” the Republic’s leader said.

He wished trade union workers success in defending worker’s socio-economic rights, peace and prosperity.
Trade Union Worker’s Day was established by the DPR Head’s decree dated February 7, 2017 and is annually marked on February 21.*jk
