Donetsk, Jan 9 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities paid 10,8 billion rubles worth of benefits last year, with payments in liberated areas making up more than 10 percent of the sum, the press service of the regional Labor and Social Policy Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency.
“The Ministry allocated 10.8 billion rubles for welfare benefits in 2022, including 1.1 billion rubles for benefits in liberated areas which previously had been under Ukraine’s control, ” the Ministry said.
In 2021, the DPR social spending amounted to 7.5 billion rubles. It increased as the government raised benefits on January 1, 2022 and launched social security payments in liberated areas starting March 2022.
Fourteen types of benefits were paid in the DPR last year.*jk
