Donetsk, Nov 29 — DAN. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a resolution regulating the payment of insurance benefits to volunteers in case of death, injury or accidental disability.

 In August 2023, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on mandatory state-provided life and health insurance for volunteers. Under the document, the benefit is worth over 3.1 million rubles in case of volunteer’s death; the servicemen who suffered injuries leading to disability are entitled to 1.5 million to 780,000-ruble compensations depending on disability category.

The sums of injury benefits range between 313,100 rubles and 78,1000 rubles depending on case severity.

The insurance benefits rules are retroactive to February 24, 2022 which marks the beginning of the special military operation. *jk
