Donetsk, Oct 19 – DAN. The DPR Ministry of Construction has announced the reconstruction of the Donetsk Youth Palace as the preliminary design has been approved.
The building sustained massive damage in 2014, hit by Ukrainian artillery.
According to the preliminary design, two new four-storey extensions will be constructed at the site to make the premises meet modern requirements on evacuation of people with impaired mobility and enhance the work of children's educational centers.
All the building systems will be updated, and the adjoining territory will be landscaped.
Currently the detailed design and estimates are being drawn funded by a state allocation worth 18 mln rubles (USD 232,000).
The Youth Palace was badly damaged in August 2014, more than 70 percent of the building were irreparable after Ukrainian forces strikes.
The DPR Head Denis Pushilin signed a decree establishing a committee to reconstruct the palace on November 14, 2019. *ot
