Donetsk, Nov 27 - DAN. The sum of one-time compensations paid to Ukrainian army aggression victims in the Donetsk People’s Republic has exceeded 50 million rubles since the beginning of this year, the DPR Labour and Social Policy Ministry press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“The Republic has paid 50.9 million rubles worth of one-time compensations to DPR residents for the harm to life and health as a result of Ukrainian armed forces and armed formations aggression since the beginning of 2018,” the press service said.
The compensations are handled by the Ministry’s Commission for helping war victims. Both civilians and servicemen are eligible.
The DPR has paid lumpsum compensations since 2014, in accordance with the law dated June 20, 2014 on “Urgent social protection measures for citizens living in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the condition of aggression of Ukraine’s armed forces and armed military formations.”*jk
