Donetsk, Apr 1 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities paid 360,000 rubles of financial assistance to residents of Kiev-controlled areas of the Donetsk region, under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme, the DPR Labour and Social Policy Ministry said on Monday.

“Over the past week, 28 compatriots living in Kiev-controlled areas of the Donetsk region, received one-time benefits totalling 360,000 rubles,” the Ministry said in a report.

Humanitarian programme benefits were paid to 20 large families and World War II veterans.

The DPR has implemented the humanitarian programme since February 2017. Its objective is to strengthen cultural, humanitarian and professional ties and provide social and public services. The programme envisions medical and financial support  and higher education quotas for residents of Kiev-held areas. *jk
