Donetsk, Nov 10 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities have paid compensations to 415 residents for property lost as a result of hostilities, the DPR Ministry of Labor and Social Policy said on Thursday.
“As of November 10, 2022, the total sum paid had reached 130,626,000 rubles, ” the Ministry said.
Compensations were paid to residents of Donetsk, Makeyevka, Yenakievo, Shakhtyorsk, Snezhny, Mairupol, Volnovakha and Pershotravnevoye district. Two hundred and sixty-five of the recipients were paid for the loss of essential property, 122 for damaged housing and 28 for the loss of their homes.
In July, DPR authorities announced plans to pay compensation for homes lost as a result of fighting. The money in the amount of 35,000 rubles per square meter of living space can used to buy or build new homes.
The DPR opened 51 offices that accept applications from victims of fighting. Thirty-eight commissions have been set up to review the documents and make decision on compensations. *jk
