Donetsk, Dec 26 – DAN. DPR and LPR are stepping up interaction with representatives of the sound part of the Ukrainian people as Kiev is helpless and incapable of meeting its prisoner exchange commitments under the Minsk-2 agreements, DPR Head Aleksandr Zakharchenko and his LPR counterpart Igor Plotnitskiy said in a statement.
“The attempts by Ukrainian public representatives, such as Verkhovnaya Rada deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, to break the deadlock over prisoner exchange meets with harsh criticism by Kiev authorities. The public accusations however conceal obvious helplessness and incapability of the Ukrainian president and his associates who do not wish to fulfil their obligations under the Minsk agreements,” the statement said.
Newest history shows that “Ukrainian women tend to be more adept at solving political and economic problems, and even governing the country,” according to the document.
“We remain open for dialogue with those Ukrainian people’s representatives, deputies, activists and journalists who really wish implementation of the Minsk agreements and the solution of long-suffering Donbass’ problems,” Zakharchenko and Plotnitskiy said.
As an act of goodwill, in the runup to the New Year and Christmas, we hand over two women – Anzhelika Presnyakova and Olga Svorak – to Ukrainian people representative Nadezhda Savchenko, without any conditions,” the Donbass Republics’ leaders said.
The move is expected to facilitate the release of DPR and LPR citizens held captive in Ukraine. *jk
