Donetsk, May 31 – DAN. DPR Head Denis Pushilin has lifted the curfew on weekends throughout summer.
The decree No.188 published today stipulates that the curfew is lifted from 11 p.m. Fridays until 4 a.m. Sundays starting June 1, 2021 until September 15, 2021.
The Minister of Internal Affairs Alexey Dikiy has been tasked with dispatching more patrols to the streets during these hours.
Earlier Pushilin pledged to abolish the curfew gradually. Its cancellation on summer weekends is the first step on the way to life without curfew.
On regular days, the curfew runs from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. from October 1 to May 31; a shortened curfew, from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., is effective from June 1 to September 30 in accordance with Pushilin's decree dated May 31, 2019. *ot
