Donetsk, Oct 18 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has lifted border controls on the administrative boundary with Russian regions starting 13:00 on Tuesday, DPR interim Head Denis Pushilin said.

“I ordered the DPR State Security Ministry to open all points of crossing to the territory of other Russian regions and stop border controls from 13:00 on Tuesday, ” Pushilin wrote on Telegram.

Previously, residents had to go through ID and cargo inspection procedures on both sides of the border between the DPR and the Rostov region, which were carried out by DPR and Russian border guards.

Pushilin said that the joint crossing points would continue to run ID checks and inspections for banned cargoes.  Customs control on the administrative boundaries between the DPR and neighboring Russian regions was lifted as well.*jk
