Donetsk, Sep 1 - DAN. DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko congratulated students and pupils with the beginning of the new academic year.
"My dear compatriots, please accept my sincere congratulation with the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the new school year. Schools and colleges open for thousands of young people on the 1st of September. Those who were kids yesterday become first graders today, graduates become student welcomed by the world of new knowledge and discoveries. I wish success, new friends and achievements to all those who study," said DPR leader in his congratulation speech.
He also thanked teachers and professors for their efforts and contribution to the future of the young generation.
"You do not only teach, you create a basis for patriotism, mutual respect, universal human values and civil awareness," Zakharchenko addressed teachers.
"Educational reforms are underway to modernize all spheres of studies by endorsing innovation. The Ministry of Education and all professors of the Republic have contributed to successful implementation of new programs," he added.
Zakharchenko wished all the pupils, students and teachers understanding, determination and peace.*ot
