Donetsk, Apr 17 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic ombudswoman Darya Morozova expressed the hope ahead of the humanitarian subgroup meeting in Minsk that Ukraine had decided on its official position on the next prisoner exchange.
“Prisoner exchange under the “all verified for all verified” formula remains the key issue of the humanitarian subgroup’s meeting in Minsk scheduled for April 18,” Morozova said. “For our part, we have that the Ukrainian leadership at last has an official position on prisoner exchange.”
The DPR representatives will continue to raise the issues which have remained unsettled since the prisoner swap on December 27, 2017, namely Kiev’s return of documents to former prisoners and their legal clearance of criminal charges. Another issue on the agenda is the discussion of the mechanism for search and identification of the missing persons which Ukraine earlier blocked, she added.
“I hope that the position of the official Ukrainian representatives will be constructive at the meeting tomorrow,” the DPR ombudswoman said.
The Contact Group for a peaceful settlement in Donbass and its working groups are due to meet in Minsk on April 18.*jk
