Donetsk, Feb 2 - DAN. Donbass and Ukraine might exchange detainers in February, DPR envoy to Minsk talks Denis Pushilin told reporters on Friday.

“Preparations for the December 2017 prisoner exchange lasted a whole year ,” Pushilin said. “According to our intentions, we’d like the new prisoner swap to take place in February. We don’t rule out this possibility, but naming the date would be risky.”

Earlier, DPR ombudswoman Darya Morozva said the Donetsk People’s Republic expected some 80 DPR supporters to be released from Ukrainian captivity during the next prisoner exchange. Morozova urged the detainees’ relatives to contact her office for updating the detainees’ personal data.

On 27 December 2017, DPR, LPR and Ukraine held one of the largest prisoner exchange during the Donbass conflict. It took place at the crossing point in Gorlovka area; Ukraine handed over 160 people to Donetsk, and DPR passed 57 people to Kiev. *jk
