Donetsk, 11 Oct - DAN. COVID-19 incidence in the DPR is extremely alarming, the Ministry of Health said.
“The situation with the incidence of coronavirus infection in the Donetsk People's Republic is characterized as extremely tense,” the Ministry said
“Despite the titanic efforts of the Republic's medical workers, the number of cases of COVID-19 and pneumonia exceeds the outpatient and inpatient capacity of the health care system."
Emergency medical service is also seeing an increased load, and it complicates timely hospitalizations.
In addition, due to the increase in the number of patients requiring oxygen support, there is a shortage of oxygen supply points and oxygen systems.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health strongly advises against visiting crowded places, and also calls for anti-epidemiological measures and timely vaccinations against coronavirus, since vaccination contributes to a significant reduction in the number of cases of severe illness and death.
The DPR uses the Sputnik V and Sputnik Light vaccines, obtained within the framework of humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation.
According to the latest data, 71,575 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Republic; 5,386 people died, while the latest daily increase in the number of deaths reached 82 people. *ot
