Donetsk, Oct 30 — DAN. Republican Trauma Center doctors have repaired abnormal curving of the spine in a child, the Donetsk People’s Republic Healthcare Ministry reported on Monday.
“4th degree spinal curvature caused pain and visceral dysfunction, ” the Ministry said adding that it was the first scoliosis surgery performed in the Republic.
Head of the trauma-orthopedic department Yevgeny Zhilitsyn said that a modern metal implant had been attached to the child’s spine.
Earlier reports said that the Helmholtz Institute for Eye Diseases had treated more than 160 Mariupol residents.*jk
