Donetsk, Jan 28 – DAN. DPR medical centres are fully provided with medications for urgent prophylaxis of rabies, the Helth Mnistry said.
"Due to a rising number of infected animal bites cases, including children, the Health Ministry informs that medical institutions are supplied with necessary amount of medications to prevent rabies," the report reads.

The total of 2,558 doses of anti-rabies vaccines have been supplied, as well as 533 ml of anti-rabies immunoglobulin to form a specific immune response, and 2,360 doses of tetanus toxoid for effective immunization against and prophylaxis of tetanus.

Earlier reports emerged on social media that a squirrel got into a balcony in the Petrovskiy district of Donetsk. The owner of the flat tried to catch the animal, but it bit the woman back. The squirrel soon died, and an examination showed that it had been infected with rabies. *ot
