Donetsk, Oct 3 - DAN. The Donetsk Republic social movement is a centre for attracting patriots wishing to build a prosperous country, Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin said in his address on Thursday in connection with the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the movement.
“The indissoluble connection between citizens and legislative and executive bodies is a key postulate in building our Republic,” Pushilin said. "Our task was simple and feasible: all state building and development processes are controlled by people. This led to the appearance of the Donetsk Republic social movement which became a centre for attracting patriots.”
The DPR leader said that the movement emerged at the point when the Donbass people came out against Ukrainian forces to defend their right to free development. DR activists have been making daily contributions to the building of a strong, prosperous and happy country since, he said.
“We wish to come onto a track of stable development and are doing everything possible and impossible for it,” Pushilin said. “I’m confident that your loyalty to the duty, hard work and top professionalism will help reach new heights in our common cause.”
The Donetsk Republic social movement was established in the DPR in the autumn of 2014. It the largest socio-political movement in the Republic bringing together more than 216,000 people. The DR engages in political and public activities and organises social projects and cultural events.*jk*pp
