DPR has extended school holidays until November 1, the Republic's Head Denis Pushilin said.
"It has been decided to prolong the holidays until November 1," he said following the meeting of the Anti-Epidemic Committee on Prevention of COVID-19 spread.
Certain measures to tackle the epidemic were adopted in late September, when schools announced early holidays.
Earlier this week, DPR warned of extremely alarming situation as COVID-19 incidence grew.
On Wednesday, DPR has registered a record-breaking 1,005 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours. *ot
