Donetsk, Apr 12 – DAN. DPR doctors delivered a baby of a woman from Kiev-controlled Donbass territories within the framework of humanitarian aid program for the first time, said the press service of the Ministry of Health.
"On the Cosmonautics Day, April 12, first baby was born in the Republican Motherhood and Childhood Health Protection Centre within the framework of humanitarian program for reunification of Donbass people, obstetrics area."
The newborn boy's weight is 3kg, height 53cm. "The mother and the child feel well," the ministry said.
According to the minister of health Alexander Oprischenko, three people from Kiev-controlled territories have already received medical aid in DPR, 14 applications are on a waiting list.
On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial and aid assistance and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched. *ot
