Donetsk, Jul 13 - DAN. DPR Emergencies Ministry has denied re-accreditation to Czech humanitarian mission People in Need which lost the opportunity to work in the Republic in 2016. “Accreditation has been denied,” the Ministry’s press service reported on Thursday.

“Chairman of the State Commission for Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety, Civil Defence Service Major-General Alexey Kostrubitskiy was requested by Czech organisation People in Need to consider its accreditation with the view of pursuing humanitarian operations in DPR territory,” it said.

The Czech organisation lost accreditation to work in DPR on 25 November 2016. It had repeatedly ignored the Commission’s requirements for the implemented programmes to distribute relief supplies to DPR residents and its activities were inconsistent with the declared objectives.

“In view of the above, the accreditation requests submitted by the organisations listed as liquidated or banned cannot be reviewed,” DPR Emergency Ministry said.

On 12 June, 2017, DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko tasked the Emergencies’ Ministry State Commission for Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety with accrediting humanitarian missions in the Republic.*jk
