Donetsk, Feb 10 – DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic medics have diagnosed 2,064 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the DPR Healthcare Ministry reported on Thursday.
“DPR medics carried out 4,394 tests on February 9; 1,934 people tested positive and another 130 showed COVID-19 symptoms,” the report said. Two hundred and four patients were de-registered after recovery and two died in the designated period.
In the previous reporting period, medics recorded 2,056 new COVID-19 cases in the DPR. A dramatic increase in the infection rate occurred after the weekend. On Monday, February 7, the Republic reported 2,414 new covid cases versus 939 on Friday, February 4.
The DPR has recorded 137,249 coronavirus infection cases since the beginning of the pandemic; 111,048 people have recovered, 16,610 continue treatment, and 9,591 have died. *jk
