Donetsk, Jan 9 — DAN. Coronavirus infection weekly incidence rate in the Donetsk People’s Republic does not exceed Russia’s average, the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) told the Donetsk News Agency.
“Rospotrebnadzor conducts weekly monitoring of COVID-19 cases; the DPR weekly infection rate does not exceed Russia’s average rates, ” the consumer rights watchdog told DAN in comments on the COVID-19 situation in the Republic. “The whole package of anti-epidemic measures is implemented in each case.”
A mobile complex of specialized medical teams in the region is providing consultations and practical assistance in diagnosing infections. It includes bacteriological and sanitary and microbiological laboratories and a laboratory for particularly dangerous infections, it added.
In mid-December 2022, reports said that the Russian government had set up regional branches of Rospotrebnadzor in the Donbass Republics and appointed chief sanitary officers.*jk
