Donetsk, Apr 26 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities have received the first applications for 10,000-ruble “refugee” benefits from residents who were evacuated from zones of fighting in the new Russian regions, DPR government deputy chairperson Larisa Tolstykina said.
“We’ve just begun to accept documents; for example, payments have been requested by people evacuated from Artyomovsk and neighboring settlements and villages, ” Tolstykina said adding that the authorities had accepted some 200 applications.
On April 11, DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin said signed an instruction on financial assistance to residents evacuated from Kiev-controlled territory and areas liberated by Russian troops in Donbass and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
The 10,000-ruble lumpsum benefit is payable to each evacuee regardless of age or fitness to work. Applications requesting the payment are submitted to the commission under the local administration at the place of staying.*jk
